flowers flowers everywhere

I am soo giddy and excited..... because... I am taking an online fabric flower class with the fabulous Lizzie from Dear Lizzie.

I adore everything she makes and creates and once she offered this class on her blog to decorate a basic tee I didn`t hesitate and signed up. Flower tees here I come... oh just think the possibilities are endless.... tons and tons of decorated tees in my closet, Christmas and birthday gifts for family, friends, neighbors.. etc. Just the thought of it gets me sooo excited!!
I have been soo into flowers this summer from flower pins, flower hairclips, flower rings to the flower tees... this is just the PERFECT project for me.

So last week this beautiful kit arrived in my mailbox. I counted the days and when it finally got here I was just drooling over it. My flowers were here...Just look at that adorable packaging...

And today the class started and we were pinning... and here is the result so far of my pinned flowers on my tee. I LOVE it! Its already perfect and it`s not even done yet.

Can`t wait for the next class tomorrow evening, this is just soo much fun. The ideal distraction from a busy day and my alone time in the evening.

I think I will ask Santa for a Sewing Machine. Looks like I found another hobby.

OK good night my dear friends out there, gotta go and stare at my beautiful tee a little longer.

Nina (soon to be the sewing queen...lol)

Crafts around the house

Today was a kind of crafty day in our house...

...after homework was done we got the new "stuff" out Naiya picked at Joanns the other day and started making early Christmas presents. It`s called FIMO (similar to playdough), but after your formed it you bake it in the oven for 30 minutes and it gets real hard.

I love how they turned out. Just too cute! Even Calan was into it!

So Family and Friends watch out, you might get something like this in your Christmas stocking:

And it was a crafty day for me too. Lots of playing around with new yarn, lots of crocheting, lots of headbands with flowers....I am working on all those ideas in my head.

That`s it for today! Off to bed.
Tomorrow is Friday, should be a good day!

Get some beautyrest :)

e3/Fitness 4 Life Charity Challenge

My wonderful Dad

Dear Family and Friends,

I lost my wonderful father December 31, 2008 to the horrible disease lung cancer.
He was only 62 years old. He still had so many plans and dreams and then cancer came and ruined everything.

For him one of the worst things was that he wouldn`t see his grandkids grow up. He loved them so much. And they miss him terribly!

So do I! Not one day goes by without thinking of him and remembering him.

In memory of my Dad and for everybody out there who is fighting lung cancer I am participating in the e3/Fitness 4 Life Obstacle Run.

Will you help me reach my fundraising goal? All donations will benefit the American Lung Association of Southwest Arizona.

Donating through this website http://www.firstgiving.com/ninashoals is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Your support is greatly appreciated, together we can make a difference and hopefully one day cure lung cancer.

Thanks sooo much from the bottom of my heart!

Time to Scrap

Good morning world,

here are some recent scrapbook pagesI was able to create. I wish I had more time for my hobby because I enjoy it soo much....

On another note I went to Joanns last night.. I adore that store. I could spend hours in there and just look at everything and picture new projects in my head.
But I had the kids with me so they didn`t let me dream too long.
But I got some new things to play around with: fabric and wool to maybe finally start on those crafty projects I am planning for a while.
Watch out for some fabulous new things!!
Happy Wednesday!

Week 4

Today marks the first day of week 4 of my 8 week challenge.
So far so good. Last week has been rough....all I could eat was pretty much just fish and asparagus.

But its so worth it. Lost 13 pounds and a whole lot of inches :)

Excited to keep going and make it through week 8.

You all have an exciting week yourselves!

This weekend

This weekend we will be going to the waterpark because its the only place you can be outside when it has 105 F.
I will watch my kids splash in the water, run under the huge bucket, go down the water slides and just have the time of their lifes.

This weekend I will hopefully finish organizing my scrapbook room.

This weekend I will make a mealplan for the coming week and also go to the store and by everything I need for that.(as you can see I am still trying to get that organized).

This weekend I will eat more white fish with asparagus.

This weekend I will love my family extraspecial :)

What are you doing this weekend?
Whatever it is I hope you make the most of it!

Good morning world!

I totally deserve the mother of the year award since I served my kids HOMEMADE french toast sticks.

Naiya loved them, Calan not so much. Oh well, can`t please everyone.
So I am in week 3 of my challenge and it is TOUGH! I feel very hungry and I feel very tired and exhausted. BUT I can do it. 11 pounds so far, that is a very good result.
Gotta go working out now.
You all have a lovely day!

I`ve been scrapping

Its been a while, but finally I was able to do some scrapbook pages.

And it was so much fun to get creative again.

It seems that I have less and less time for my creative projects which is sad, because I have so many ideas twirling and dancing in my head. And I want to start them all at the same time, which is impossible.. I know!

Seems that lately most of my free time is occupied with cleaning and cooking and definitely more cleaning... sigh

Anyways here are some layouts I created.

Weekend Family Fun

On weekends we love to get into the car and drive out into the country...or city.. or just wherever the wind takes us.

Find new places, create new memories and for me.. get new scrapbook material!
I take my camera everwhere and take pics of everything... I think it is starting to annoy my family.
But one day they will be thankful for all these great snapshots!

So here are some pics from the last weekends.

Driving up to the observatory, the view is just INCREDIBLE!

And to our big surprise we saw a brown bear in the wilderness...we couldn`t believe our eyes!

I heart this pic, my lil man!

Weather was kind of funny and it started to get dark and cloudy and we could see it raining, but we were lucky and drove aroud the rain clouds so it never hit us.

Until we got to here.... it must have rained hard because the street was perfectly fine when we crossed it an hour earlier...

.. so we had to wait a bit because we weren`t sure how deep or fast the water was.
The kids were scared, but we called it our family adventure.
And after a while we were able to cross safely.

8 week challenge

Hello my friends out there,

so 2 weeks ago I signed up for an 8 week challenge! It`s a study to see how much you can reduce your bodyfat with a strict diet, daily workouts and the right supplements.

I am on Day 12 and I have to say.. I feel GREAT!
I lost 10 pounds and I feel like a new person.

Honestly I thought it would be harder to stick especially to the diet, but it`s not. I am very surprised how good I am doing with it.

I guess it was my time now :)

So here`s to 6 more weeks. I can do it. Time for a new ME!

Good night all!
